Cavities are one of the most serious oral diseases that can affect your child.  Streptococcus mutans, one of the bacteria causing tooth decay, may be spread to babies when parents kiss on babies’ mouth.

If a mother gives pacifier to a baby after cleaning it with her mouth, cavity bacteria can be transferred to a baby through the pacifier. Therefore, proper oral hygiene care is important even during pregnancy. Please visit the dentist at least twice during your pregnancy for check-up.
